The Conservative Environment Network (CEN), an independent forum uniting conservatives in the UK and globally around net zero, nature restoration, and resource security, is hiring for three exciting roles. Rooted in Edmund Burke’s philosophy, CEN champions market-driven, science-based solutions to address climate change and ecological decline. These positions offer a chance to shape centre-right environmental policy during a pivotal period of conservative renewal. 1. Nature Programme Officer

Overview: Support CEN’s Nature Programme to promote conservative solutions for halting and reversing environmental decline.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist the parliamentary caucus and councillor network in advancing nature-focused policies.

  • Promote sustainable farming, pro-growth planning systems that enhance nature, and ambitious waste and water pollution measures.

  • Support international biodiversity restoration initiatives.

  • Conduct policy research and stakeholder engagement to shape centre-right nature policy post-election.

  • Hold the Labour government accountable for centralized air quality approaches.

  • Develop conservative-aligned clean air campaigns and grow support within the Tory movement.

  • Assist with broader climate policy initiatives, including energy efficiency and green finance.
    Eligibility:

  • Passion for clean air and climate policy, with an interest in UK conservative politics.

  • Strong research, writing, and campaign development skills.

  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including policymakers and activists.
