Applications are open for True Blue Fellowship 2025. This program (previously known as the Fellowship Grant Program) brings together young leaders globally, encouraging them to use artistic expression to drive local initiatives that protect marine ecosystems, freshwater systems, and the environment.
If you’re passionate about creating positive change in your community, consider applying for the True Blue Fellowship! Established by the Future Blue Youth Council (FBYC)—a collaborative network of Bow Seat alumni—this initiative supports young advocates in promoting a more sustainable, just, and thriving planet.
Project Requirements
Your proposed initiative can span any timeframe, provided it aligns with the Fellowship’s mission by:
– Centering creative arts as the core tool for advocacy or activism.
– Collaborating with and mobilizingyour local community.
– Delivering measurable benefits to both your community and the environment.
Fellowship Benefits
Selected participants will gain:
– Financial support: Grants of up to $2,500 USDfor project implementation.
– Networking & growth: Join a global network of Fellows and access skill-building programs.
– Expert guidance: Mentorship from the Future Blue Youth Council and Bow Seat’s team
- Eligibility & Requirements
Who Can Apply?
– Age: Open to youth aged 13–24globally.
– Language: Applications must be submitted in English.
*Verification:Proof of age/identity may be requested post-submission.
Project Guidelines
*Format Individual or group applications accepted (groups designate one leader as main contact).
*Project Age: Initiatives must be new or ongoing (≤2 years old).
– Focus: Must address ocean conservation, waterway protection, or climate action
– MethodCreative arts(e.g., visual arts, writing, film) must drive the project’s impact.
*Limit:One application per person (even if part of multiple groups)
Selection Criteria**
Applications will be assessed on the following:
1. Alignment with Mission
– How closely the project supports the Fellowship’s goals of ocean, waterway, or climate advocacy through creative arts.
2. Issue Expertise
– Demonstration of deep understanding-of the environmental challenge addressed.
3. Strategic Approach
– Thoughtful and innovative design, showing clear planning and creativity.
4. Feasibility
– Realistic goals, including a practical budget-and achievable timeline.
5. Impact Potential
– Likelihood of creating measurable, tangible benefits for the community and environment.
