Through partnerships with organizations like the US Climate Action Network (USCAN) and Youth Climate Collaborative, badge opportunities are available to empower youth voices in the Blue Zone. Applications are open with ongoing evaluation.

Badge Opportunities

  1. USCAN Blue Zone Badges
    Access COP29 sessions, events, and networking opportunities in the Blue Zone. Available badges:

    • Weeks 1 & 2 (11–22 November 2024): 1 badge

    • Week 2 (18–22 November 2024): 3 badges

  2. Youth Climate Collaborative Badge
    Intended for youth from the Global South, this badge includes accommodation from 11–18 November 2024 and access to COP29 from 11–15 November 2024.
    Apply: Application form to be released soon via the Youth Climate Collaborative platform.

Why Apply?

COP29, dubbed the “Finance COP,” focused on securing climate finance for developing nations, with a landmark agreement of at least $300 billion annually by 2035. Youth badge holders can:

  • Participate in high-level sessions, including discussions on climate finance, adaptation, and carbon markets.

  • Network with global leaders, activists, and policymakers.

  • Amplify underrepresented voices, especially from the Global South, in shaping climate policy.

Eligibility

  • Age: 18–35 years, with a passion for climate action.

  • Focus: Youth Climate Collaborative prioritizes applicants from the Global South.

  • Countries: Open to all nationalities.

  • Application: Submit detailed and accurate information to ensure a fair selection process.
