The application deadline for the HYPE Grant is September 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Late submissions will not be accepted, so applicants are encouraged to prepare early.

The HYPE Grant by Murray Paterson Marketing Group (MPMG) offers a unique opportunity for emerging Canadian performing arts organizations to strengthen their marketing capacity. Valued at C$12,000, the grant provides in-kind services including media relations, digital marketing, strategic consulting, and mentorship. It is open to non-profit or charitable organizations that have been active for three years or less and are staging a full-length, fully-produced performance—such as theatre, dance, music, or comedy—in a venue with at least 150 seats. The funded project must take place between February and July 2026. The application deadline is September 9, 2025, with recipients announced by November 4, 2025. An information session will be held on June 24 via Zoom. This grant is ideal for young organizations seeking to build awareness, grow audiences, and develop long-term marketing skills. It not only supports a single production but contributes to sustainable growth in the arts sector.

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a non-profit or charitable performing arts organization based in Canada
  • Have been in operation for three years or less as of the deadline
  • Be presenting a fully staged, full-length production (theatre, dance, music, or comedy)
  • Stage the performance between February and July 2026

Use a venue with a minimum capacity of 150 seats
